What we do
Corporate Social Responsibility
At Hidden Hearing, we're committed to using our resources to make a constructive contribution to society. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, we focus on making a positive impact in the communities in which we live and work.
Here are just a few of the initiatives we have supported.
‘Hidden Heroes’ sponsored by The Irish Independent and Sunday Independent
The Hidden Hearing Heroes Awards were established in 2011 to honour those who have made a significant contribution to Irish society, their community, workplace, family or through sporting excellence. This year we have extended to eleven nomination categories. Nominations closed Friday 25th September 2015. The awards will be hosted by RTE’s Mary Kennedy at a gala lunch on Monday 19th October in the DoubleTree by Hilton – Burlington Road, Dublin.
Hidden Hearing lent its support to the fundraising effort to help establish Console House in Wexford Town, which offers professional counselling to people who are suicidal and those who have been bereaved by suicide as well as creating awareness about suicide prevention.
Through our Corporate Social Responsibility programme we were one of the corporate sponsors of a Valentine's Ball which raised €8,000 for the charity, contributing to the opening of the much valued facility.
Age Action Ireland
Hidden Hearing is delighted to be acknowledged as a Corporate Member of Age Action, with the two organisations working in partnership during 2015. Age Action is a charity which promotes positive ageing and better policies and services for older people. Working with, and on behalf of older people, Age Action aims to make Ireland the best place in the world in which to grow older.
Hearing Awareness Week
Launched in 2007, Hearing Awareness Week is an annual national event run by Hidden Hearing in association with the Irish Deaf Society. Now firmly part of the national calendar, Hearing Awareness Week, is an action-packed series of free events and initiatives. The campaign is focused on encouraging people to take action on their hearing loss. It features useful information and free events which raise awareness around the issue of hearing loss.
