My name is David, and I am passionate about hearing health. I firmly believe that education and awareness of hearing loss will drive understanding and acceptance and encourage more people to care for their hearing health. Hearing loss is a natural phenomenon and should not be stigmatised. I'm delighted to work for a company that brings the conversation to the fore in the media and through social dialogue. We are committed to improving the nation's hearing health, and I am proud to play my part. Everyone at Hidden Hearing genuinely cares for our patients and is committed to improving lives and giving back to local communities.

I have quite a few examples of patient experiences, but this one is always on the top of my list. When I met my client, she had been told that she wouldn’t be able to hear again. Her former audiologist suggested she learn sign language and accept her fate. She stubbornly refused to live a life without sound and called Hidden Hearing. Following a full hearing examination, I prescribed binaural coordination power hearing aids and her world flooded with sound. I remember I cried along with her on the day, it was so emotional and rewarding. Since then, she can communicate with her loved one and listen to TV and radio. She has been attending clinics with me for 8 years now and continues to enjoy a life enriched by sound.

I strongly suggest you don't delay treatment for hearing loss. Timely intervention enables effective treatment to improve long-term hearing ability by preventing or slowing further decline—moreover, the cost of hearing aids increases as hearing declines. If you look after yourself, you look after those close to you.

My name is Daryl, and I understand hearing loss better than most, as a family member struggled with undiagnosed hearing loss for a considerable time. Their condition had a profound impact on the family, as he withdrew from socialisation, conversation and life. At Hidden Hearing we are passionate about hearing health. I’m personally invested in preventing the negative impact of hearing loss and improving the quality of life for sufferers, their families, and friends.

I want to change lives for the better by helping people overcome the stigmas and challenges of hearing loss. Hearing loss affects the individual, their family and friends, stressing relationships. I'm committed to assisting patients in coming to terms with their diagnosis and taking control of their loss in a timely manner. Early intervention can prevent withdrawal, isolation, depression and many other adverse effects of hearing loss. I feel incredibly privileged to be in a position to help my patients.

The cost of hearing aids increases as hearing ability declines. It's heart breaking to discover that a patient has severe hearing loss and cannot afford to purchase the hearing aids most suited to their needs. We help patients apply for grant aid and offer zero-interest finance; however, sometimes, it's just not enough. If a person settles for inferior low-cost hearing aids, they cannot experience hearing as it should be. Moreover, they risk isolation, depression and the adverse social, emotional and psychological conditions associated with hearing loss.
