82-year-old school bus driver Michael McCann has been fitted with some complimentary Oticon Real hearing aids as part of Hidden Hearing’s Gift of Hearing Giveback Program.

Michael has had a difficult time of it the past few years, even though he's always doing good for others. He lost two fingers while mowing a lawn for a friend who had cancer and has just had a hip replacement... So, it's about time that Michael's luck starts changing for the better!

Michael was suffering from such severe untreated hearing loss when he stepped into Hidden Hearing in Cavan that he hadn't even heard that he had won the Gift of Hearing properly when we called him to tell him he was a winner of our 2023 Giveback Program. He had to ask our dispenser Luke why we had called at his initial test!

Needless to say, he’s over-the-moon with his new hearing aids and can now hear properly again. This gift, which was given as part of our Campaign for Better Hearing Giveback Program, will change Michael's life for the better - especially since he refuses to retire and needs to be able to hear and communicate while working as a bus driver.

Well done again to Michael – a most deserving Gift of Hearing recipient.
