Retired DJ Harry Lee’s life revolves around talking and chatting - he’s the most social man in his native town of Dundalk and known to all. I did a survey one Saturday and I came out of my house and I walked down, got my pension, walked home.

I find a big difference in the other ones, the old ones I had. Which I had for 5 and a half years now. |

You do feel when you come out, you are disorientated for because your hearing things a hell of a lot different. |

If you are talking with people that keep the mask up all the time. They pull it down sometimes to talk to you. |

But this particular lady I met yesterday we were talking and I said: “I can hear every solitary word that you can say.” |

I thought it might have been a special mask she’d got or something, it was just as clear as a bell. I have no doubts it was the new Oticon hearing aids. |

Little charger I can put on at night so I just take them off, put them into their little slots and a wee orange light comes on on each of the hearing aids and when you are waking up in the next morning you can see the little green lights now where they are fully charged. Don’t do what I did and left it so long. If I had got them a way back it would have made my life an awful lot easier. |
