At Hidden Hearing, we’re honoured to be recognised as a dementia-inclusive organisation. We’ve collaborated closely with The ASI on several pivotal projects this year aimed at highlighting the connection between hearing loss and dementia.
In a groundbreaking initiative, 180 of our team members underwent 'Learn, Listen, Link' training with The ASI in February, equipping us with the knowledge to provide enhanced care for people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. We’re also delighted to be linked in with the HSE’s Dementia: Understand Together campaign.
Understanding that hearing loss is one of the 11 modifiable risk factors to reduce the risk of developing dementia, we are committed to promoting brain health alongside hearing care.
As supporters of The ASI and the HSE, we encourage everyone to take proactive steps towards their auditory and cognitive well-being. Why not start by visiting your local hearing care clinic for a friendly chat over tea?
Alzheimer's Tea Day takes place on Thursday, 2nd May 2024. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland aims to raise vital funds through Alzheimer’s Tea Day to provide supports and services to help families living with dementia nationwide. 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Alzheimer’s Tea Day.
