We’re proud to introduce Dr. Clodagh Gallagher (BMBS, MSc, P. Dip (Paediatrics), MICGP), a dedicated General Practitioner and trusted Medical Advisor to Hidden Hearing. Dr. Gallagher brings extensive clinical expertise, combining a strong foundation in medicine and geriatrics with experience in hospital and community care.
A University of Limerick graduate, she completed her medical degree and GP training there, following studies in Physiology (BSc) and Regenerative Medicine (MSc) at the University of Galway. Originally from Donegal’s Gaeltacht, Dr. Clodagh is now based in Galway working as a GP. Her clinical experience spans palliative care, emergency medicine, psychiatry, paediatrics, geriatrics, and community GP care.
Dr. Clodagh shares:
“Hearing is invaluable, shaping how we interact with the world. I’ve seen how untreated hearing loss can impact cognitive ability and leads to social isolation, and reduced quality of life. Hearing impacts not just communication and physical health, but also emotional wellbeing, mental health, and safety. I’m delighted to be on board with Hidden Hearing, whose approach promotes early detection, improved access, and greater awareness of hearing’s importance to overall health.”
Her patient-centred approach and commitment to continuous professional development provide a valuable perspective. We appreciate her clinical insight and guidance as we continue to enhance hearing health services across Ireland.
