Hearing Awareness Month was a reminder of the importance of taking time to appreciate the sounds that shape our everyday lives, from familiar birdsong in the garden to the quieter details in nature that often go unnoticed.
Throughout the month, we invited people to take part in our competition for the chance to win one of our nature inspired prizes. The initiative was designed to encourage a deeper connection with listening, and to highlight how closely our hearing is tied to the world around us. We are now pleased to announce that Bernadette Ní Dhuibhir has been selected as the winner of the Bird Buddy 2.0 Smart Camera Bird Feeder.

This unique prize offers an intimate view of everyday wildlife, allowing Bernadette to experience the movement and activity of birds at close range, along with the natural sounds that accompany them. It brings the presence of nature into the home in a way that is both engaging and calming.
Thank you to everyone who entered and took part. The response reflected a genuine appreciation for nature, sound, and the role hearing plays in helping us stay connected to both.
Although Hearing Awareness Month has now come to an end, the importance of looking after your hearing remains. Staying aware of changes in your hearing and taking simple steps to protect it can help you continue to enjoy the conversations, environments, and natural sounds that matter most in everyday life.
