My name is Barry Ormond, and I am an audiologist with Hidden Hearing at our Blanchardstown Hearing Centre. I have been with Hidden Hearing for over seven years, having trained at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. I hold a Dip HEAA qualification and am a proud member of the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists.

Sound has always played an important role in my life and career. With a background in sound engineering, I wanted to move into a more people focused role where I could apply that understanding in a meaningful way, and that is exactly what I found with Hidden Hearing.

Since qualifying as an Audiologist, what continues to inspire me every day is seeing the difference better hearing can make to someone’s confidence, independence and overall quality of life. There is enormous satisfaction in helping people understand their hearing health, guiding them through their options, and finding a solution that helps them reconnect with the moments that matter most. Every patient’s journey is different, and being part of that process is incredibly rewarding.

I have always admired Hidden Hearing’s commitment to putting the patient first. Being able to combine advanced diagnostic tools with evolving hearing solutions allows me to provide precise, personalised care for every individual.

My name is Ger Dowling, and I am an audiologist with Hidden Hearing at our Blanchardstown Hearing Centre. I have been part of the Hidden Hearing team for over eight years, helping people in the local community hear better and feel more confident in everyday conversations.

My interest in audiology is deeply personal. Having grown up with close family members, including my mother and grandmother, experiencing hearing loss, I saw first hand the challenges it can bring. It made me want to do something where I could help people stay connected to the people and moments that matter most.

What I find most rewarding is seeing that change in someone, whether it is getting back to social occasions or simply enjoying an easier conversation with family. Even small improvements can make a real difference to someone’s confidence and quality of life.

What is really encouraging today is how adaptable hearing solutions have become. We are able to match technology much more closely to each person’s lifestyle, whether that is staying active, enjoying social settings, or simply feeling more at ease day to day. Of course, even the best technology can only take you so far. It is the ongoing support and fine tuning with your audiologist that ensures it truly works for you and your day to day life.
